A Timeline for Junior Year - Starting the College Process
Junior year can be an overwhelming and challenging year. Students begin to visit colleges and explore what school they may ultimately attend, and students also schedule all the testing that the college admissions process requires: the PSAT, SAT, ACT, subject tests, AP's, etc. All this on top of rigorous course loads and busy activity schedules proves that junior year and the college process is a massive organizational feat.

In an attempt to help our students at Anderson Tutoring Center prepare for junior year, we have developed a workshop titled, "A Timeline for Junior Year - Starting the College Process."

During this workshop, students will take a blank calendar of the school year and fill in a complete timeline for completion of all of the following:
  1. A complete testing plan designed around your student's activity schedule
  2. PSAT prep/test date/registration deadlines
  3. SAT prep/test date/registration deadlines
  4. ACT prep/test date/registration deadlines (plus the argument for trying the ACT)
  5. College visits
  6. How to choose which subject tests to take, plus prep/test date/registration deadlines
  7. HSPA
  8. AP prep/test date/registration deadlines
  9. Midterms & final exams
